Here is what we have accomplished
so far:

Formation of a Steering Committee and
the Stakeholder Groups.
These groups contribute to the Consortium
through their combined experience and commitment
to the child care field.

Completion of the Montgomery County Early
Care and Education Needs Assessment and
Plan; a report detailing the results
of our surveys of parents, school districts,
and other community stakeholders. Several
key recommendations were presented in
this report and the Consortium’s
current projects and ongoing goals
are centered around a selected number of
these recommendations.
- Development of this Web site as a means for ongoing communication.
We welcome your feedback and contributions. Contact Erin
Connolly to share your thoughts.
- Gathered information from Kindergarten teachers and child
care providers in Norristown about how to best help children
prepare for Kindergarten in that school district. Developed
a pamphlet about school readiness in conjunction with the
Montgomery
County Penn State Cooperative Extension and the Norristown
Area School District. For a copy of the pamphlet, contact
