Improving the Quality of
Child Care Environments

With support from the William Penn Foundation, the Consortium is working towards improving the quality of child care environments in Montgomery County. Through administration of the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS), we are assisting a select group of child care providers in examining their classroom environments, teaching practice, and program structure. One goal of this work is to help child care providers identify areas of need for further training and staff development.
